Woodie’s heroes are taking on the annual four-week fundraising cycle for a fifth year to raise money for their chosen children’s charities. Over the last four years Woodie’s have raised over 1 million Euros for a range of different charities and have set out to exceed €1.5 million this year.
For the second year in a row Ciret will be sponsoring the event as a supplier with a total of €1600. The fundraising challenge, which started on the 21st of July, will see employees at all 35 stores ride a static bike in store for a total of four weeks, asking customers to make a charitable donation. After the four weeks of in store cycling two teams of cyclists will take to the road to cycle to all stores - a total of 800km - to “collect” the money raised and to thank colleagues and customers for their efforts.
This year’s charities chosen by the Woodie’s team are Temple Street, The ISPCC, Autism Assistance Dogs and Hand in Hand. Take a look at these fantastic charities and see what they get up to support children and their families.
